Our logo represents the scales of justice, supported on a stand which is defined by two faces looking at one another. These represent conflict and dialogue, which is both a feature of human relationships generally and the practice of law, as well as mediation.
Inside our logo are two symbols reflecting the Mennonite heritage of the firm's founding partners. The Distelfink bird, which is the Old Order Mennonite symbol for good fortune and happiness is on the right; a stylized Pennsylvania Dutch "hex sign" is on the left - similar to symbols once painted on Old Order Mennonite barns, to demonstrate their owners' desires for productivity and protection from evil.
These symbols represent our own sentiments regarding the progress and success of our firm and all its members, as well as our roots in Waterloo County.
