DUECK, SAUER, JUTZI & NOLL is a law firm of four partners, an additional four lawyers, plus seventeen support staff, organized to provide a full range of legal services to clients. Each lawyer takes responsibility for specific practice areas and supervises the work of support staff within that practice group. Our firm was founded in 1982 by Robert O. Snyder, Ted Dueck and Lee Sauer. David Jutzi joined the firm as an articting student that same year, and commenced practice with us in 1984. Richard Noll joined the firm in 1986. When Bob Snyder retired on January 31, 1998, the litigation department comprised of Ted Dueck and Richard Noll, while the real estate, corporate and commercial department and estates & wills department comprised of Lee Sauer and David Jutzi. In early 2002, Mendel Somer, Q.C. and Jack Nanson, who had formerly practised in downtown Kitchener as Somer & Nanson, merged their practice into ours, and became part of Dueck, Sauer, Jutzi & Noll. They brought three support staff along, and the firm thus grew to 7 lawyers and 13 support staff, just in time for our 20th anniversary as a partnership. In January 2003, Kelly Hooper joined our firm, having previously worked at Deutschmann & Kelly and at Sutherland Mark Bumstead Flemming. Kelly was called to the Bar in 1997. Kelly quickly became an instrumental member of our firm, assisting the partners with their files, as well as taking on files herself. Since early 2002, we have also added support staff to our team. Thomas Jutzi (Tom) joined our firm in February 2005, along with his assistant. Tom has practiced as an in-house corporate lawyer for Mercedes Developments for many years, and was in private practice at Miller Thomson for the past 3 years, prior to him joining our firm. Tom was called to the Bar in 1974. On May 30, 2008, Jack Nanson retired from the practice of law after 41 years. He is enjoying spending more time with his wife and family, as well as giving his interests and hobbies more attention. Although Jack has retired, Margaret, Jack's former assistant has remained with our office and is working with Tom Jutzi. With the integration of each lawyer and their support staff into our office environment, there has been a smooth transition with everyone working as a team for the benefit of the clients. The close working relationship between support staff and lawyers, means this team atmosphere has continued.
